These painted chevrons are a simple home decor accent that you can whip up in just a couple of hours.
September 23rd was my hubby’s and my 5th wedding anniversary (and 11th dating anniversary!), and I wanted to make some art to hang in our bedroom. I’ve been on a bit of a burlap kick lately, and since he and I are both obsessed with retro design, I thought something with a 60’s feel might be a lot of fun!
The burlap is from a local coffee shop that was kind enough to give me some of the burlap sacks that their green beans come in. Most coffee shops that roast their own get their beans in bags like this, and they’re often happy to share them, if you ask nicely. They usually have cool designs on them, and I love incorporating the existing printing into things I’m making with them.
Since I shared this photo on my Facebook a while back, a few folks have asked me how I made this triptych of burlap paintings. You can read how I did it below!
This project was a lot of fun to do, and it combines two things that I love: mod design and burlap! A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary! I don’t know about you ladies, but I find it much harder to come…
