Creamy banana and spicy chipotle chili in a sweet, mango green smoothie. Yes, please!
Welcome to the week of drinks! Obviously, I had to kick things off with a super refreshing green smoothie recipe.
At the Asian market near my house, they sell dried mango covered in sugar and spicy chili powder, and it is freaking delicious. It’s also pretty pricey and imported from China, so I don’t treat myself to it very often. This smoothie is inspired by that candy.
If you don’t like things too spicy, you can skip the chili powder or back off a bit. Folks who like things extra hot can also add an extra dash or two to really up the chili goodness.
Spicy Mango Mamma Green Smoothie
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- Handful green leaf lettuce
- 1 banana
- 1 cup soy or almond milk
- 2 dashes chipotle chili powder
- 3 ice cubes
- Blend and drink!
