Let me just start by saying that I love Al Gore. I love how passionate he is and also how he frames his discussions in terms of what we can do and not what we can’t. This new slideshow of his is no exception. I’m sure I’ve talked here about how overwhelmed I feel sometimes about where we are headed. Sometimes, it feels like nothing I do will ever be enough when so many people are in denial or throwing up their hands. When I hear someone like Al Gore speak, though, it really fills me up with hope. If he can be optimistic, then so can I. You can go to this site to watch or click on the video below:
I worry sometimes that folks might find my focus on this stuff off-putting. I’ve definitely heard this before and hate that my passion comes off to some people as preachiness. I can’t just keep my mouth shut about it sometimes. It’s impossible. I can’t think of anything more important than caring for the planet that we live on.
