Kirkwood! Today!

Hey locals! Come out and visit us at the Kirkwood Spring Fling at Bessie Branham Park today! The artist market is one day only! I also heard that the Dulce Vegan would be there, so come hungry!
Last night, Dave and I had a little movie marathon! We watched The Golden Compass and Juno. I loooooved Golden Compass and want to see it again! Juno was cute/sweet and not quite what I expected.
The Golden Compass – I never read these books, so I had no idea what to expect. First of all, the movie is GORGEOUS! I loved it! It made me wish that MY soul was a kitcat that followed me around everywhere! Maybe Agnes is my demon? Oh but she can’t talk. Dangit. Anyways, I can’t wait to see the next one! Did I mention that it’s gorgeous? If not, it bears repeating. And I loved that the cowboy from Big Lebowski was the air pilot! Of course he was! Tho Dave and I both wish he’d been more like an old timey aviator with like…goggles and a scarf. But this was good, too.
Juno – Cute. It was cute. Was I supposed to like that girl? I thought from the previews that I was supposed to and that I would. She just struck me as so unlikeable for most of the whole movie. Everything she said sounded so contrived. Michael Cera was adorable, and I did like when he told her off in the hallway, but I wish he’d had more screentime. What Dave and I liked most was her family. Her stepmom was a badass, and her dad was so kind. My favorite scene with the stepmom was the one with her and Vivian at the end. I didn’t laugh much during the movie, but I did get a little weepy with the family stuff at the end. So sweet.
So that’s that! I should probably finish getting ready to head to the park! See you there?
