Yoga for the Urban Cyclist

Momentum Magazine has a really great article on yoga for urban cyclists! They talk about some of the stresses on bike commuters and then a list of poses to help counter it all. I know that when I was riding bikes to work every day, my neck and wrists took a beating, so I thought this list of poses would be really helpful. Here are a few:
Yoga Journal has great info on their poses page about a lot of the other ones in the article, too! They list the Sanskrit and English names, which should make stuff ultra easy to find. Happy riding!

This is fantastic! I needed some more yoga poses and it’ll help me get more inspired to start riding my bike more (I always hurt when I ride it!)

That pose finder on yoga journal is really fun to play with. If you’re looking to mix up your own routine, have you seen the Yoga Deck? Someone got me one ages ago. You can pull out cards and make up your practice every day! I like to pull out a bunch of cards as sort of an outline, then add poses that feel right in between the ones from the Deck.
