25 Random Things

I’ve gotten this 25 things meme on Facebook a few times, but I don’t like letting apps access my Facebook info, so I’ve never filled it out. Yesterday, though, my pal over at Swee-tee-pie posted hers on her blog and tagged me. No scary access required! So here you go. Twenty five things about me.

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you.

I’m not going to tag anyone at the end. Rule breaker! But I’d love to hear some random facts about you guys! Maybe you would like to post them in the comments?

1. I’m married. Dave and I got hitched on September 23, 2006. It was our six-year anniversary, because we didn’t want to remember a new date.
2. We have a shed out back that I’m afraid to go into because of spiders and monsters.
3. I gave up meat at age 16 on a family trip to Alaska.
4. Dave and I collect designer toys. There are an army of them in the living room.
5. I have a LOST obsession. OBSESSION. Seriously, hit me up with theories.
6. Someone gave me 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth when I was in middle school. It changed how I thought about everything. I lobbied my parents to start recycling and started an environmental club at my school.
7. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale.
8. I’ve got 2 tattoos.
9. In college, I used to sub for my yoga instructor when she couldn’t make it to class. Part of me thought this was going to be my job when I grew up. Part of me wishes it were!
10. If we play Boggle, you might get really mad. Just ask Ally.
11. In college, I studied journalism and thought I’d work in radio.
12. I’m incredibly clumsy and have the scars to prove it.
13. I’ve never been in a wedding besides my own.
14. In high school, I used to dye the front pieces of my hair blond. Using mustache bleach.
15. Most of my clothes are secondhand.
16. I’ve got a little sister. We’re somehow very different and very similar all at the same time.
17. Most of my plants tend to die, despite my best intentions.
18. My front porch garden was going well until winter came.
19. Molly sits on my lap every morning while I have coffee. It’s become a ritual, and I love it!
20. Molly and Agnes are our tuxedo cats. We call them sisters, but they are not related.
21. My mom’s mom lives in St Aubin, a village 45 minutes by train from Paris.
22. Dave and I got engaged on top of the Arc d’Triomphe.
23. It’s impossible to listen to 90′s grunge music and not think about Jia and Sam, my best friends from Florida.
24. I am opposed to animals in costume. It just seems so mean!
25. It was really, really hard to come up with 25 things to share with the internet!

So I guess by tagging no one, I’m really tagging everyone! Memes are so tricky.
