The project was aimed to raise awareness about coral reefs. She and her sister filled the Chicago Cultural Center with a crocheted coral reef. The project sort of grew and took on a life of its own in a fantastical way! I think this is what crafting is all about! Using your hands and your skills to make something that’s bigger than just you and the materials.
