A Happy Accident
So I signed up to do a couple of projects over at Art House. One, The Canvas Project, involved five tiny canvases and a list of five words. We’re supposed to do one word per canvas. The other is called 10,000 People, where each participant gets a single word to interpret.

With all the chaos lately, I got a little mixed up. There. I admitted it! I used the instructions for 10,000 People and the canvases from the Canvas Project, and somehow thought I was supposed to interpret one word on five canvases. Ack! Luckily, I think I can still use what I made for 10,000 People, since I decided that rather than do five little chairs, I’d do something that spanned all five of the teeny canvases. I’ll just wire them all together! Hurrah!

The outlines for the chair, teapot, and table are all done with embroidery floss, then filled in with sharpie. I can’t really even express how much fun it was to embroider on canvas! It felt like breaking the rules. I guess the sharpies sort of gave me the same feeling. There’s a good chance this will be happening again if I can track down that word list that came with the Canvas Project materials!
