Friday Roundup: Summer Reading

I’ve got books on the brain today! Here are four favorites from our bookshelf:

  1. Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. Feeding folks is how I show that I care, and this is hands down my favorite cookbook for baked goodies.
  2. Ender’s Game. I don’t know what it is about this book, but every once in a while, I just have to read it over again.
  3. Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit. Another one that I just need to read from time to time. You come away from it just feeling…different. I think this was the first book that Dave ever lent me.
  4. Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker. So many perfect, lazy meals in here. It’s really helped me learn how to make my slow cooker do the work for me!

    I’m sure there is someone already telling you this (PERHAPS EVEN SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN THE SAME HOUSE AS YOU), but OSC’s “The Worthing Chronicle” is excellent. For my money, it’s even better than Ender.

    Funny you should mention it! There is someone in my very house who is of that opinion!

    Better than Ender’s Game is a gutsy review. Worthing Chronicle will be next on my list, then!
