Maybe six months ago, I received a beautiful jar of preserved figs. They aren’t like store bought preserves, where the fruit was in tiny, spreadable pieces. They’re more like whole figs preserved in delicious syrup. It didn’t really work on toast, because the syrup was too thin ad the figs were too large. Finally, though, I found the perfect way to enjoy these tasty preserves!

My new favorite after dinner treat is plain soy yogurt with a couple of generous tablespoons of preserved figs. I imagine using store-bought preserves would work almost as well, too! It’s especially perfect after something spicy like tofu wingz or a curry.

WOW! I adore figs and I love soy yoghurt so this would be an ideal dessert for me. Unfortunately I haven’t had soy yoghurt in 2 years….they don’t have it here, like many other things. But I can dream, can’t I?!?!
