Two Women, Two Coasts

Over at Ecolocalizer, Rhonda and I are working on a fun project! We’ve realized that our neighborhoods have a lot in common. She lives in the Bayview area of San Francisco and I’m over in Edgewood, just east of downtown Atlanta. We’re exploring the ups and downs of trying to live sustainably in our respective areas and hoping to learn from each other at the same time.
If you want to check out the posts we’ve written so far, here they are!
- Two Women, Two Coasts, One Idea
- Bayview Celebrates the Latona Community Garden
- Developments on Atlanta’s Beltline
If there’s anything Atlanta- or Edgewood-related that you think would fit into this project, I’d love to hear about it! Feel free to send me an email through the contact page or leave a comment right here!

I would like to echo what Becky said; if anyone has any ideas or anecdotes that they would like to share about how we can create a more sustainable Bayview, please email us or leave a thoughtful comment.
I am still struggling through the 4000 page redevelopment EIR that was just released for Bayview’s impending “redevelopment”. Hopefully will have the posting done in time for “Buy Nothing Day” this Friday. Surgery on my right hand last week has made writing rather difficult and painful at present.
