Dave and I headed to Orlando to see my in-laws including our super-sweet nephews! On Sunday night, we all went to the Disney Christmas Party. I’ve got to say, I was a little wary of taking a three- and a five-year-old to the Magic Kingdom, but now I see why parents get into this. Those boys were pumped, and it was pretty darn cute!
We also hit up Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure while we were in town. I was happy to see that all three parks now offer recycling bins for plastic bottles and for cans. It would have been nice if there had been recycle bins next to every trash bin, though.
There were only recycling bins in select places in each park. I was on the lookout for bins and had to ask an employee to point me to one. For someone not thinking about it, that bottle or can would probably go right into a trash bin. How many more bottles and cans would Disney and Universal divert from the landfill if the bins were not just available but prominent?
