“Not You” Self Portrait Show
…but before we get to that, I have to do a quick shout out: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE SISTER!
Back to our regularly scheduled update….
The amazing Travis of Mr. Purty organized a self portrait show, and I’m totally honored to be taking part!

I’ve had this all mapped out in my head for a few weeks but finally got a chance to dig through my scraps and get sewing earlier this week! It was nice to get my thoughts all cut out and stitched together. I always feel a little anxious when I’ve got a picture of something in my brain and don’t have time to make it happen.
The “Not You” show opens the evening of Saturday, January 16th at MINT gallery. I hope you guys can come check it out! If you can’t make it on the 16th, the show will be up at MINT Gallery through February 7th.
And, because I’m pleased with punch at how my piece turned out, here’s onnnnne more picture:

yours truly

Amanda, make your self portrait and send me a few pics! I’ll post them here! I loved the idea you came up with when I was visiting.

Thanks, Karen!
I love it! The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous, thanks for sharing these pictures – you’ve totally brightened my day.
I know what you mean about getting nervous when something exists only in your head. I feel that way about my writing. I have about a dozen notebooks scattered around so I can always get a bare bones jotting of what I’m thinking, that way I don’t worry about it.
Thanks, Tasha!
YES! I keep a little notebook in my purse at all times for that very reason.
