Squelching a Cookie Craving with…Toast!

I had a craft market this weekend, and we tend to have very little food in the house after I’ve spent the weekend tending a booth. Unfortunately, my belly didn’t get the message, and I could not shake a craving for COOKIES.
Normally, if a cookie craving strikes, I whip up a batch, but I was pretty pooped after a busy weekend. Luckily, we did have the makings for some whole grain cinnamon toast! Hurrah!
Cinnamon Toast
1 slice whole grain bread
2t margarine
1/2t cinnamon
1t brown sugar
Spread the margarine on the bread, then sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar. Using your butter knife, spread the margarine around until the cinnamon and sugar coats the whole piece of bread. Pop it in the toaster until it’s browned, and voila!
I had two slices, but one probably would have done the trick if I’d thought of this a couple of days ago. Not only did it kill my craving, I bet the slices of whole grain toast were healthier than eating a couple of cookies. Take that, cookie craving!

Cinnamon toast rocks!
It’s hands down the greatest kind of toast.
Definitely better for you than cookies but I don’t think that would do it for me ! Nothing beats raw cookie dough!
I think the key is to be super-decadent with the margarine and sugar!
