A Brief Hiatus
It might be a little bit quiet around here for the rest of this week. My grandmother passed away this morning, so I’m spending today tying up loose ends and getting ready to head to South Florida for the funeral.
My Nani was a tough, wonderful woman. I learned to cook from my pops, but I learned to love the kitchen from Nani. I would spend hours at the kitchen table, keeping her company while she cooked up a storm. My favorite memories of her are in that little kitchen in her apartment while she prepared half a dozen dishes all at the same time.
I’ll be back to the regular, upbeat, crafty, foodie posting very soon.

Becky, I am so sorry to hear this. I’ll be thinking about you and your family right now. Your grandma sounds like a wonderful woman, you were very lucky to have her in your life.
I’m so, so sorry Becky. I just lost my favorite grandmother in May. It’s hard. If you need to talk, I’m here for you.
Aw, Becky, I’m so sorry. I hope everyone getting together and remembering the great things about her is good in its own way, though. xoxoxoxox.
Sorry to hear this, my thoughts are with you and your family.
I’m sorry Becky. May your wonderful Nani rest in peace.
Becky,
She looks like I would have loved to have sat at that table with her drinking whatever those decanters held. Sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you today.
Robin

Thanks, Levi. That means a lot.
Sorry to hear that your grandmother passed away, Becky. Sounds like she was a great person!
