Erin of Krug’s Eco-Logic is a fellow Etsy Vegger and Eco Etsian and makes all manner of natural, vegan beauty and spa products.
1. Tell me about how you got started crafting.
My children both have very sensitive skin. I started purchasing natural soaps from a local natural food store, and realized with my biology background, I could most likely just start making it myself ( I stay home with my two kids ). Voila ! Krug’s Eco-Logic !
2. What draws you to eco-friendly materials?
I love that we can use items directly from nature (and use them in a sustainable way). I love being useful, and for plants and materials in nature to be useful to us, is just amazing to me. I also like that by using items created by minimal processing, derived naturally, we can significantly reduce the amount of impact we have on our delicate ecosystem.
3. What inspires you?
My kids … my friends … my family. Everyone has such wonderful ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. I take lots of different things into consideration and try to create from those.
4. Who are your crafty heroes?
People who create items from scratch and build their business so as to support their families. That is my goal, and while, it’s not feasible just yet since I have younger children and spend time with them at home … it is my goal for the future. I admire those that are able to do so.
5. Where can folks find your work?
My private site ( I always offer coupon codes via email to my customers and to my Facebook fans . I’m also on Abe’s Market, Alice.com, and Etsy.
