The amazing folks at Vegan Mainstream put this on their Facebook page this morning, and it really struck me:
Some say Veganism is extreme. I think the fact that last year an estimated 785,000 Americans had a new coronary heart attack, and about 470,000 had a recurrent attack is extreme. What do YOU think is extreme?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that veganism is too extreme, and I feel like these numbers really put things in perspective. This quote also really speaks to my initial motivations for going vegan, which is definitely a big part of why it felt so powerful. It also got me think about my reasons for going vegan and wondering about you guys! What prompted you to go vegan?
