fall garden

My pal Mike Lieberman over at Urban Organic Gardener is launching an online fall gardening course that looks super amazing, and he was kind enough to ask me to pitch in with some DIY material! The class will help you start a fall garden with confidence, and Mike was kind enough to let me compile share the materials I created for him as a free micro-ebook that you can download here!

Registration for Fall Gardening 101 started on Sunday and runs through July 9th, so now’s the time to sign up, if you’ve been thinking about a fall garden but were a little overwhelmed at starting one on your own.

Mike is a gardening pro. He’s been growing his own food from way back and is all about empowering folks to do the same. One thing I hear from folks when I mention growing food – after “I don’t have enough space!” – is that they’re afraid they’ll just kill everything. That’s a legit concern, and the whole idea behind Mike’s class is to help you succeed by taking you through planting, caring for, and harvesting fall food step by step.

Free Micro-eBook: Simple DIY Plant Markers

One important step when you’re planting your garden is to label your rows and containers, so you’ll know what you’re growing and where you planted it. I designed a few worksheets for Mike’s course on how to make your own plant markers from reclaimed materials and am also releasing the worksheets as a free micro-ebook for you guys! You can download the pdf ebook here! (You might have to right click and choose ‘Save As…’)

These are just one part of Mike’s program, which sounds freaking amazing! If you’ve been wanting to start growing your own food and weren’t sure where to start, I highly recommend signing up!
