Hello Glue and Glitter readers! This is Jen & Jena from The Maven Circle and we’re so happy to be sharing a fun & easy DIY project with you!
We are two crafty mavens with a passion for helping others live their most awesome lives. Jen was an organizer and Jena a volunteer for the World Domination Summit recently, and Jen got her hands on a bunch of tees they had left over from the event. So when Becky asked us to share a project with you guys, Jen thought, “What’s something summery, easy to make and earth friendly that you readers would love?” Recycled t-shirt bracelets!
Not to mention, bracelets are totally circular, which kinda goes with our whole theme. :) So in this video Jen teaches us how to make two different types of stylish summer-tastic bracelets using your old t-shirts, a pair of scissors, your crafty hands, and that’s it! They’re both very easy and fun – spend a half hour making and you’ll have an armful of colorful new pretties to show off and share with friends!
We loved making reconstructed bracelets so much that we made 2 videos! Each are about 7 minutes long.
Here’s the first video – using finger knitting:
Here’s the second – making the Josephine knot:
We hope you enjoy making your bracelets! If you’d like additional guidance beyond the video, we’ve made a handy dandy PDF detailing all the steps to make both the finger knit bracelet and josephine knot bracelet.
