I love crafting with Mason jars. The jars and their design make any craft project feel just a little bit nostalgic. But what about Mason jar lids? Typical canning jars use a two piece system with a flat lid that you secure with a screw on ring.

The lid and ring often get ignored in Mason jar craft projects, but the 2-part system actually lends itself to lots of fun crafts! Here are a few Mason jar crafts that take advantage of the lids.

1. Glitter Medallion

With a little fabric glue and glitter, you can turn that flat lid into a blingy glitter medallion. Hang on to the ring and jar, though, because I’ve got a project for that coming up on the next page.
