vegan pantry essentials

You guys! I am so excited to be sharing my first ever video with you! It’s all about stocking your vegan pantry, and I hope that you like it.

I’ve been wanting to do a video for a long time, and when I saw Ashlee’s super adorable vlog on products for vegan travel, it kicked me right in the pants. I mentioned to her that I’d been thinking about doing a video too, and her encouragement was what got me to finally just sit down, find some editing software I liked, and do this thing.

Speaking of editing software! Extra huge thank yous to Karen and Carissa for helping me find something I liked! The software is called Camtasia, and I’m pretty smitten.

ANYWAY. Enough about video editing, and on to the video! I’ve also got my vegan pantry list in text form at the bottom of the page along with links to some of the things that I mention in the video.

Links and Info from the Video

Here are links to some of the things that I mentioned in the video and that vegan egg recipe again, in case you missed it!

Vegan Pantry List

Don’t have 7 minutes to watch the video? No problem! Here’s the pantry list, quick and dirty style.

  • nutritional yeast
  • raw cashews
  • canned beans
  • dried grains
  • flax meal
  • canned coconut milk
  • veggie bouillon
  • frozen fruit for smoothies
  • frozen corn, frozen peas and carrots
  • Sriracha hot sauce
  • olive oil
  • sesame oil
  • apple cider vinegar
  • rice vinegar
  • balsamic vinegar

What do you guys stock your vegan pantry with? I’d love to compare lists!

  5. Love that you included a list as well b/c I almost never watch vidoes (I don’t have the patience plus my kids all run over and think it’s a movie for them to watch and my computer time quickly degenerates to crying and screaming).

  6. This is amazing, you did so good! I am not vegan (just veggie), but I do try to find vegan alternatives often so this is super helpful. I am going to have to try that baked cashew cheese, yum!

    • Thank you, and no problem at all! It took me days to find editing software. It was so hard to find something good and affordable that I almost gave up on making a video completely. Hopefully I can save other folks a little bit of heartache.

  7. I am not a Vegan, but I still found this video informative. I am looking forward to adding some more variety to our diet and experimenting with some new ingredients. Nice work Becky. :)

  8. OMG. You are so cute! Love LOVE the video but also the topic! Great job! So glad Camtasia worked for you! I’m too lazy to add any special layers but this totally worked! I’m now motivated to jazz up my video! I have a “How to make california roll” video, idling so maybe I’ll have to use Camtasia to edit it…instead of uploading it ‘as is’. You rocked it dude!

    • That’s an interesting question, Anna! I have never found it bitter. I wonder if it’s something that not everyone tastes? I know that for some folks, cilantro tastes like soap, but I love it! Or maybe you’re using brewer’s yeast and not nutritional yeast? They are different and have different tastes to them.

If you figure out how to grow enough chickpeas, I would love to know! They’re so good!
