Treehugger Lunch Kit

Yap! It’s another Lunch Kit featuring the lollipop trees that I love so well these days. I sent out my very first kit with the Utensil Wallet today! It’s headed right this moment up to British Columbia! Lori has mentioned before that her art gets to travel to more fun places than she does, and I totally feel her. That situation will be remedied soon enough, though! Dave and I are taking a second honeymoon in a few months! To London! I can’t waaaaaaaiiittt!!

One More!

Lately, I can’t stop cutting out trees that look like lollipops! You’ll probably see these little fellas popping up all over before too long. Right now, they’re on a Lunch Kit and two skirts. Maybe a collage is in order? Who knows!

In other treehugging news, Project: Dump the Shower Water on the Front Garden is going strong. I’ve never been so good about watering my plants before! The collards are getting big…it might be time transplant them to bigger pots this very weekend! I’ll post some pictures if we do that!

How cool! They made really great picks for this guide. I especially love the altered vintage lunch box by Jane’s Apron!

Blossom Lunch Kit

On the drive back from St. Simon’s, I was mulling over a conversation Dave and I had earlier in the week. I’ll spare you the details, but we were just sort of gabbing about my crafty endeavors and plans and whatnot. It got me scheming, and the ride home gave me lots of time to think. Somewhere in the middle of Georgia, an idea hit me, and I dug out my Slingshot to draw a little sketch so I wouldn’t for get! The plan? I’m going to phase out those stainless steel lunchboxes as part of my Lunch Kits in favor of something a made with my own little hands! I might still offer the boxes separately, but I’m still thinking about that one. What do you guys think?

To replace the lunchboxes, I whipped up these sweet little utensil cozies to keep your fork and spoon clean until lunchtime and your bag clean after you’ve used and stowed them away. I’ve just got this one listed right now, but there will be more to come for sure!

The Owl

So remember how I won that Vintage Ephemera Pack from Clever Nettle a while back? Well it came!! Inside was a fantastical scarf, tons of old photographs and tickets, postcards that Anja designed herself and this amazing book of children’s poetry. Of course, I can’t resist pulling pages from old books and gluing them to things, so that’s what I did! It also gave me a chance to play with this gel medium that had been taunting me from the cabinet for a bit. This little owl collage is over in the shop along with a new Lunch Kit! Look out for more collages from this little book along with more Lunch Kits in the next couple of weeks! Hurrah! It feels so good to be making things again, you guys, I can’t even really describe it.

Hugbot Skirt

I’m a liiiitle obsessed with making these guys. There might be a few Hugbot skirts by the time ICE gets here. Speaking of ICE! They are looking for volunteers for everything from swag stuffing to checking folks in to working at the t-shirt tent. Christy and Shannon work so hard to pull together an amazing event, I just know you want to help them make it even better by pitching in! If you do, you can reach them through the Contact page on their site. They will love you forever. And that’s a promise!

Also speaking of ICE, I have some exciting SuperCute! news! We’re throwing the preparty at Youngblood Gallery! An Evite will be going out soon. There are going to be snacks and beer and a visit from Faythe Levine to show off the trailer for the Handmade Nation, the indie craft documentary. We are totally thrilled to be a part of such an awesome event!

Oooh also, I realized I promised a pic of the completed Pi Lunch Kit and didn’t deliver. So here ya go!

Headbands!
1. Shroom, 2. Model T, 3. Passion Vine, 4. Aeroplane

I’ve been slowly listing some new headbands up in the shop! Of course, I couldn’t resist making a collage of the new goods over at Big Huge Labs!

Last night, I came home from work feeling pretty beat and spent the whole evening being a bum. I played computers while Dave played the new Grand Theft Auto. Somehow, I convinced him to put down the controller at around 9 and watch Battlestar Galactica with me! We are officially all caught up now! And I have questions and theories! Hit me up!
