Mun is Dun!

One of my very favorite blogs, Toycutter, posted a pic of my tree Munny for the show at MINT this Saturday!! AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

East Atlanta Strut! This Saturday, I’ve got two shows going on! It’s going to be fantastical, exhausting and totally fun. I hope folks can make it out to one or maybe even both!

Saturday during the day, SuperCute! is setting up at The East Atlanta Strut. The artist market runs from 10am until 6pm. It’s going to be an awesome show right smack in the middle of the East Atlanta Village.

After the Strut, I’m going to zoom home, clean myself up and head over to MINT Gallery for Munnybrella, a designer toy show! Participants each purchased a blank Munny doll to mod out however they wanted. Mine is a little tree friend, who remains un-named.

Mun is Dun!

It’s going to be a really long day, and I kind of can’t wait!!!

Evolution So there are two really cool events coming up in Atlanta this month that I wanted to post about. Both are sustainable-living themed and look like they’re going to be a lot of fun!

Sustainable Living Roadshow - Sept 20-21
The Sustainable Living Roadshow is touring the country in biofuelled vehicles spreading the word about green living. They’re hitting Emory University on the 20th and 21st! I’m a little worried that I won’t be able to make this one, since the 20th is the Strut AND the Munny show at MINT Gallery. If I can move at all on Sunday, though, I want to go check it out!

Farmers Market Bike Rally - September 27
September is Local Food Month, and three Atlanta markets are teaming up for a bike rally to showcase the goodness of local food! The rally starts and ends at the Green Market in Piedmont Park and hits two other markets along the way. There’s even music and a picnic lunch afterward!

Mun is Dun!

It’s finished! Months and months ago, I ordered a Munny from Kid Robot. Since then, it’s been sitting in the den, taunting me with its blankness. I finally got an idea a couple of weeks ago: turn the Munny into a tree! Lots of cutting, paint, moss, cupcake toppers and glue later, he’s done! Hurrah!

It just so happens that my idea hit at just the right time! There is going to be a Munny show at MINT gallery on September 22nd! Hurrah! They said I wasn’t too late to enter, so you can meet my Munny in person there! That is the same day as the East Atlanta Strut, but I’m planning to drag my exhausted self over to MINT to check it out, too!

In other news, I wrote a little post over on Ecolocalizer on planting a fall garden. The container garden out front sort of has me plant-crazy! Lori hooked me up with a cabbage plant, and I’m trying to get some basil to sprout roots. I think I need more pots!

SuperCute! will be there, of course, along with a ton of other great vendors. Check out the list:

You can get all the details over on ICE’s Kraftwork page. See you tonight!

Craft: 08 Release Party!

Come on out tomorrow from 1-5pm for the Craft:08 release party at Youngblood Gallery! SuperCute! and ICE are teaming up to host a really fun event with free crafts, snax and drinks. See you there?

East Atlanta Strut!Hurrah!

SuperCute! will be setting up at the East Atlanta Village Strut on September 20th! I’ll post again closer to the date, but I’m really excited about this show! The Strut is a great neighborhood festival. They always have a wonderful mix of vendors, and the show is in the heart of the Village, which means good food and coffee options are right there, too! See you there!

KRAFTWORK

I can’t even really tell you how excited I was to hear that KRAFTWORK, the monthly craft show, is coming back at Youngblood Gallery!!! There are a few little differences with KRAFTWORK 2.0. You can read all about it over on the Indie Craft Experience blog. Yea! Youngblood and ICE are teaming up to pull off a super-awesome, new and improved Kraftwork! They’re accepting applications now for the very first one in the new space. The show is on September 4th!
