Friday Roundup: Summer Shade

I’ve been a busy bee getting ready for the Summer Shade festival! The show is this very Saturday and Sunday in lovely Grant Park. I hope you locals can make it out for some shopping, sunshine, and great music!

Since I’ve got this show on the brain, I thought I’d round up a few of the amazing crafters who are going to be there.

Pop Up Show!

You guys, I am so thrilled to be taking part in the Lady Rogue Business Network (LRBN) pop up show next week at Wm Turner Gallery!

The market features tons of LRBN members showing off what they make and what they do. It’s a great opportunity to pop by an LRBN event, see what it’s all about, and meet other small business owners in the community. I hope you local peeps can pop in and say hello!

The show is on Wednesday, June 30th from 7:30-9:30pm. Here’s a map to the gallery, in case you need help finding it:

Candler Park Fest – This Weekend!

Candler Park Fall Festival is this Saturday and Sunday in..Candler Park! This year marks the festival’s 100 year anniversary, so it’s going to be extra special.

I just love this show. It’s run really well, the vendors are fantabulous, and it’s right in my neighborhood! Not to mention the Sweetwater beer for sale and great music!

If you’re an Atlanta local, I hope you can come out and say hi! I’m in booth #22 and have been sewing late into the night all week making new Lunch Kits, Cupcaprons, and Cup Gloves for the show!

Friday Roundup: My Fellow Crafty Bastards

Rail Arts District Art Show

I’m getting super pumped about the Rail Arts District (RAD) Art Show on Saturday evening! It runs from 5-10pm at the Academy Theatre in Avondale Estates. I was already looking forward to the night, and then I got this amazing email from the organizer. It included the following quote:

We already have Gateway, a Magician,and some jugglers who use fire!

Kraftwork Handmade Market! Tonight!

Cup Gloves at Aurora!

After hours of sewing and tag-making, Cup Gloves are finally up for sale at Aurora Coffee!

Both the Little 5 and Highland locations have ‘em. I can’t wait to head over and take a peek at the display!

It’s been a busy month on the crafty front. Between getting ready for the shows coming up next week and secret projects, I’ve been spending a lot of quality time with my sewing machine!

Oooh and I’m about to add a couple of new Lunch Kits to my shop, too!

So basically this month has rocked. Keep up the good work, 2009!

A Very Crafty Weekend

It was a great weekend! In between sewing and writing, I squeezed in a bunch of good cooking. There was also a shopping trip to hunt for new fabric wherein I totally scored! I’ll get some pictures of the awesome fabric haul once everything comes out of the laundry.

It turns out I have a couple of shows coming up at the start of February! Hurrah!

Thursday, February 5th is the first KRAFTWORK Handmade Market of 2009 at the Young Blood Gallery and Boutique from 7-10pm. Just a few days later on February 7th, I’ll be setting up at the Academy Theater’s RAD Art Show from 5-10pm. Come out and say hey!

These new Kits will go up in the shop over the next few days, so keep an eye out! I’m also planning to put together some brand new goodies for the February shows!

The Indie Craft Experience is Tomorrow

Come out on Saturday for the best holiday shopping in Atlanta!
It’s the Indie Craft Experience’s Holiday Shopping Spectacular 2008!

This is hands-down my favorite show. SuperCute! will be there with bells on! I’ve been working hard on getting bunches of Lunch Kits, ornaments, coffee sleeves, and wine bags all stitched up and ready for tomorrow!

Two Shows in One Day!

This Saturday, I’ve got two shows going on! It’s going to be fantastical, exhausting and totally fun. I hope folks can make it out to one or maybe even both!

Saturday during the day, SuperCute! is setting up at The East Atlanta Strut. The artist market runs from 10am until 6pm. It’s going to be an awesome show right smack in the middle of the East Atlanta Village.

After the Strut, I’m going to zoom home, clean myself up and head over to MINT Gallery for Munnybrella, a designer toy show! Participants each purchased a blank Munny doll to mod out however they wanted. Mine is a little tree friend, who remains un-named.

It’s going to be a really long day, and I kind of can’t wait!!!
