It’s been perfect picnic weather here in Atlanta, but thanks to lots of travel and a heavy market schedule this spring, I haven’t had a chance to get out to the park for a proper picnic yet! The next time we have a free weekend day, I want to pack up some sandwiches and snacks and head to the park to enjoy the lovely weather and soak up some sun.

Spring is here, you guys! If you want to play outside this weekend, I hope you Atlanta peeps can come hit up the Kirkwood Spring Fling in beautiful Bessie Branham Park this Saturday. The festival runs from 10am – 7pm and features a 5K race, awesome food, music, and (of course) a kickass artist market! My booth this year is on Kirkwood Road in the festival’s Green Market area, and I’m in great company. The Green Market encompasses booths #79-111.

I’ve been sewing my little fingers off getting ready and have bunches of new goodies ready to go. If you’re not familiar with the area, here’s a handy map to the park:

We were very fortunate to get a big box of strawberries from Vegetable Husband not too long ago. Strawberries! They were super-delicious. There was time on Sunday to do some cooking for the week, and I thought these vegan strawberry muffins would make for a good, quick breakfast!
