Big News, November Craft Shows, and Some Pondering

It’s been a crazy time around here! I put in notice at my day job on Friday and am taking this crafting/freelancing situation to the next level. It’s all exciting and terrifying and I’m looking forward to devoting all of my energy into things I’m really passionate about. My official last day is during Thanksgiving week.

In the meantime, I’m getting ready for Kraftwork this Thursday, Chomp and Stomp on Saturday, and The Indie Craft Experience on November 21st. Whew! It’s left me with not so much in the spare time department, since I’ll still be at the ol’ dayjob for at least 2 more weeks, if not 3 or 4. We should be sorting that out this week.

In the pondering department, I’m still digesting this post from Alex over at World Changing. On the one hand, I can see hit point: we need change, big change, and we need it now. But on the other hand, I worry that this sort of all or nothing attitude is going to ultimately overwhelm a lot of folks and maybe turn people off that were timidly dipping their toes into this whole sustainable living thing.

Like I said, I’m still thinking it through. What do you guys think about it?
