You’ve probably noticed that I’ve had a lot fewer recipes around here lately. That’s because I’m in high gear recipe testing and taking photos for my BOWLS! cookbook.
It’s been so much fun cooking my way through this book and taking photos. Right now, I’m filling in the blanks. Up until a few weeks ago, I was using dishware from my pantry to take BOWLS! photos, and things were feeling a little bit repetitive.
I’ve been on the hunt for vintage bowls without much luck, but where I am lucky is in my group of friends. My friend (and around-the-corner neighbor) Cody has a gorgeous collection of Fiestaware. Seriously, he has probably got every plate, bowl, serving dish, mug, and random ceramic item that they make. When I felt like I’d tapped the serving dishes in my stash, I texted Cody. He let me borrow a nice rainbow-colored stack of Fiestaware, and I love how my food looks against those vibrant colors!
There are about a dozen recipes left to finalize and photograph, and it feels like things are beautifully on track for a fall release. Thank you guys so much for all of the kind words and support while I’m working on this project. It means so much!
