The hot peppers in our garden are starting to produce, and that means it’s going to be hot sauce time before we know it! On Monday I shared my latest hot sauce adventure: a green Sriracha hot sauce. I got on a little hot sauce kick last year, and since hot peppers are back in season, I thought I’d round them up here, in case you wanted to try making your own hot sauce.
Making condiments might seem a little daunting, but hot sauce is super easy to make. Once you get the basics down, you can start mashing up recipes to make all sorts of fun concoctions. If you end up remixing any of my recipes, I’d love to hear what you made and how it came out!
1. Raw Hot Sauce
This is by far the simplest hot sauce that you can make. No cooking required!
2. Peach Hot Sauce
A sweet, summer peach offsets the heat in this tasty hot sauce.
3. Roasted Pepper Hot Sauce
Roasting the peppers adds a yummy smokiness to this hot sauce recipe.
4. Habanero Hot Sauce
If you like things extra super duper spicy, this habanero hot sauce is the recipe for you!
5. Dried Pepper Hot Sauce
If it’s not quite time for fresh peppers where you are, you can also use dried peppers to make hot sauce year-round.
