    Are Little Secrets chocolates vegan?

Like I mentioned when I talked about vegan Valentine's Day candy, not all varieties of Little Secrets chocolates are vegan, but their dark chocolates usually are. Just make sure you check the label, since companies do like to change formulations occasionally.

All three dark chocolate varieties of both the Mini Wafers and the full-sized Wafers are vegan.

    Review

There are four flavors of Little Secrets Crispy Wafers:

    • Dark Chocolate Sea Salt
    • Almond Butter
    • Peanut Butter
    • Peppermint

I couldn't find the Peanut Butter anywhere in stores here! When I get my hands on them, I'll add them to this review.

On the pod, we tried the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, and we'd had the Almond Butter previously. Overall, I found both flavors underwhelming, though Dave is a big fan.

Texture-wise, these were great! The chocolate was creamy and the wafers offered a nice, contrasting crispy crunch.

On the flavor front, though, I thought both the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt and the Almond Butter were a bit lacking.

The packaging touts that Little Secrets Mini Crispy Wafers have 30% less sugar than comparably-sized candy bars. Unfortunately, I really missed that extra sweetness in the flavor.

For me, the Dark Chocolate variety was the better one of the two. I felt like the almond butter didn't add much flavor.

Dave, on the other hand, loves both of these and prefer the almond butter! He agreed that they'd benefit from a bit more sweetness, but he still likes these and plans to buy them again.

We got the Peppermint ones too late to review them on the pod, but this was my favorite of the bunch. The mint gave the chocolate that little bit of flavor that I felt the other bars were missing. These might just be a new fave for me!

At the end of the day, how much you like these will depend on the shape of your sweet tooth.

If you like your dark chocolate on the more bitter side, I think these are for you. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I like my chocolate sweeter and creamier than I used to.

For mint chocolate lovers like me, I think that the Peppermint wafers will be a big hit. The package lists them as limited edition, but I hope they have a change of heart about that!

    Where to buy them

If you want to pick these up, you can find them online on Amazon or on the Little Secrets website.

They're also available in stores, and you can use their store finder to locate them. I did a quick search in my area, and it looks like they stock them at Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and some smaller natural foods stores.

    Nutrition facts and calories

According to the package, a serving of Little Secrets Mini Wafers is a generous three wafers. Honestly, one or two did it for me, but I also wasn't wild about them.
