Sticky-sweet BBQ soy curls are a delicious main dish or vegan sandwich filling. I love a BBQ soy curls sandwich with plenty of creamy vegan jalapeño slaw!
1teaspoonolive oilor neutral-tasting oil or spray oil
1cupBBQ sauce
Instructions
Place the soy curls into a bowl and pour on enough boiling water to cover them completely. Let them soak for 10 minutes, then drain them. When the soy curls are cool enough to handle, squeeze out the excess water.
Heat the oil in a pan on medium-high heat and add the soy curls. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the soy curls start to turn crispy on the edges.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the sauce to the pan of soy curls, and cook, stirring for 5-7 more minutes, until the sauce is clinging to the soy curls.

Notes
When choosing a BBQ sauce, look out for honey, anchovies, and meat ingredients on the ingredient list.Leftover soy curls will keep for up to 4 days in the fridge. I have not tried freezing these.
