Add the spinach, ½ cup of the water, the apple, mango, and 2 tablespoons of the raisins to the blender and blend. Add the extra ¼ cup of water, if needed, to get a nice, smooth mixture. Puree until smooth and taste.
Add ½ cup of the ice to the blender. Also add more raisins, if you think it needs to be sweeter. Blend again, and add more ice, as needed, for a thicker smoothie. If you want it thinner, add more water by the tablespoon and blend until you reach your desired consistency and sweetness.

Cut the apple into 1 ½" to 2" chunks to make it easier for the blender to break down. No need to dice it up small, just chunky pieces is fine.It may take a couple of rounds of blending to get the mixture totally smooth, but it's so worth the extra blending time! Just give your blender breaks every 30 to 45 seconds, so the motor can rest.
