Ingredients
2ounceslight rum
2cupswater
½cuploosely-packed fresh mint leaves
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
½of a freshlemonhalved (so two lemon quarters)
Instructions
Make the mint tea: Combine the mint, brown sugar, and water in a small pot on the stove. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
While the mint tea cooks up, divide the rum between two large mugs. Also squeeze the juice from a lemon quarter into each mug, and drop the rest of the lemon quarter right in.
Ladle the mint tea into your mugs. Getting some mint sprigs in there is fine, but I would discard the bigger pieces of mint. Stir, and serve.
