Add all of the ingredients to your blender, and blend until completely smooth. Taste and add sweetener, blending in between additions, as needed.
For a warm maca latte: Microwave 45-90 seconds, depending on the power of your microwave, OR transfer to a small saucepan and cook on medium, just until heated through.

The sweetener is optional because plant milks can vary so much in sweetness. The regular soy milk I use actually adds enough sweetness to this drink that I don't need to add any extra sugars, but unsweetened vegan milk may need a little sugar. Just add a little bit at a time until you reach the flavor you want.If you don't like to add sugar, you can also do alternative sweeteners, like stevia. I don't recommend agave or maple syrup, since those flavors don't mesh well with the combo going on in this mug.Serve your maca latte warm or cold. It's a great hot drink to kick off the day or warm you up on a chilly evening, but it's also lovely over ice in the summer!
