There are so many delicious ways to use cabbage! From roasted cabbage to cabbage slaw to salads, bowls, and more, these vegan cabbage recipes show you how to elevate this underrated veggie into a delicious side dish or dinner.
Cabbage is having a moment right now! And I get it. Cabbage is affordable, and it keeps like a dream, if you store it correctly. Now, you just need some ways to use it.
These vegan cabbage recipes use red cabbage, white cabbage, and pre-shredded cabbage slaw, so you can use what you have to make a meal.
🥬 How to Store Cabbage
- Store an uncut head of cabbage in a plastic bag in the produce drawer for up to two months. If the outer cabbage leaves brown or wilt, just remove them and use the inner head.
- To keep a cut head of cabbage, wrap it tightly in a plastic bag in the crisper. The cut part will brown after a couple of days from oxidation, but you can cut the browned part off and use the remaining cabbage.
- Shredded cabbage keeps in an airtight container for up to five days in the crisper drawer.
- Do not freeze cabbage, because it changes the texture.
