⏰ Time-Saving Kitchen Tips
These are some of the tricks I use in my own kitchen to save time!
- Embrace frozen veggies. Of course, fresh veggies are great, but a bag of frozen cauliflower means you don't have to cut up a cauliflower. That's just science.
- Use prepped veggies. - Things like tri-color coleslaw, baby carrots, and sliced mushrooms all save you chopping time, and they are cost effective, too!
- Use gadgets! From the food processor and garlic press to an air fryer or Instant Pot, little gadgets can be big time-savers! If you have limited storage space, think about the things you do the most, and look for gadgets to help.
- Prep ahead. Do future you a solid, and chop your favorite veggies in advance! Cutting some onion for a recipe? Cut up the whole thing, and put the leftover in a container to use next time you're cooking.
- If there's time to lean, there's time to clean. Recipes don't account for cleanup time, but that pile of dishes in the sink is still real. My Nani Dorothy taught me to use those moments between active cooking to load some dishes in the dishwasher or put soapy water into that pan you're done with. Another favor you can do for your future self!
