Guys, I have exciting news! I’m working on creating a print version of 40 Days of Green Smoothies. That means that I’m going to be blending my way through the book once again, tweaking recipes, and taking all new photos. It’s a bigger project than I thought it would be, and I’m kind of thrilled about it! This chocolate shake smoothie is the first video I’ve shot while reworking the book, and you can check it out below.
This chocolate shake smoothie has an avocado and banana base that makes it extra creamy.
Chocolate Shake Smoothie
Yield: 1 chocolate smoothie
- 1/4 Haas avocado, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1 banana
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon flax meal
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup of kale, ribs removed
- 1 cup soy or almond milk
- 4-5 ice cubes
- Blend until smooth.
